Create thesis statements for annotated passages and turn them in
FIELD TRIP: Tuesday, 3/1: Get parent permission/health information signed and get field trip excuse slips signed by periods 2, 3, 4, and 5 teachers!!! Recruit parent chaperones!

Begin reading Redwood Curtain. Finish reading over weekend--graded discussion on Monday! Be thinking about connections between this play and The Things They Carried, or current events. How does this contemporary American play compare with other plays you've read--what qualities seem to be uniquely American? Uniquely modern? What seem to be the themes or larger understandings? What techniques does the dramatist use to convey the play's themes?

HW: Read Redwood Curtain and be prepared to discuss on Monday! Get your field trip slips signed and bring them in on Monday. Here is the link to pages 46-47 of the play, which are missing from the original pdf. Sorry about that!
